Unity HealthLink volunteers spent the Labor Day morning at Helping Hands Pantry in San Bernardino. From 7 AM to noon, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work alongside other volunteers, all united by the same goal: to support our community.
We started by sorting through food donations from large grocery chains. It was heartwarming to see so much generosity, and we took care in organizing and packaging the food into individual boxes. Once everything was packed, we had the chance to hand these boxes directly to families in need. Seeing the relief and gratitude on their faces was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
But our day wasn’t just about food—we also spent time working on flowers, adding a little extra care to everything we touched. It’s amazing how something as simple as a flower can brighten someone’s day.
This day was a great reminder of the impact we can make when we come together as a community. We’re proud of the work we did and are looking forward to more opportunities to serve.
We’re especially thankful for the volunteers who came out today. Your time, effort, and dedication make all the difference, and we couldn’t do it without you.
